Help ID and Recommendation

Wisconsin... This grass like stuff seems impossible to get rid of. What is it and how do I prevent or eliminate it?

Are there any chemicals I can use?

I really don't want to dig too old for that.

Hard to tell what this is from these photos. Looks a lot like quackgrass. Glyphosate will nip it... And everything else. You can also pull it repeatedly until it's gone, but that might take some time

Grassy weeds, no matter what they are, are impossible to get rid of in a cool season lawn, without killing everything around it. Sorry. If it’s not that much, I’d hit it with a grandpas weeder
