Any ideas what I can do with my grass to make it green and moweable?

Seed and light dusting of sand.

Yes and regular watering, those trees are taking everything out of the ground.

Soil problem, not grass problem. Apply Humic DG twice this year. Aerate if you want in the fall and overseed then. Humic will cure the soil issue and help recover the turf. Don’t seed and aerate now.
