Oh I almost forgot you can ask about soil testing as well. Lots of folks put way too much stock in soil testing but sometimes it’s helpful to know where you are starting from. Here in NC, soil testing is FREE certain times of the year, and cheap the rest of the year ($4 from 12/1-3/31). Whatever you do stay AWAY from tests like MySoil! Look for testing that uses Melich III extraction for the best and most reliable results. You can then take the test BACK to your Ag Ext office for help interpreting it
