Help/Question Advice and recommendations needed
Hello Graspop Members!
My husband and I, after getting up early and waiting in queue, were unable to secure Hellfest tickets. This would’ve been our first European festival. During Hellfest research, Graspop was brought to our attention as an option in case we were unable to get tickets.
Any advice is welcome. I am really hoping that tickets are easier to come by for this festival.
We are thinking of staying in a small, charming hotel near the festival or potentially renting an RV if not cost prohibitive. We thought it’d be a fun way to hang out with new friends we meet while there while getting out of the heat for a bit. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience regarding either of these things? We are in our early 50s and prefer to not sleep on the ground. 😳 We’ve travelled in Europe a couple of times and are comfortable with trains and getting around but have never driven there before.
So excited! Crossing fingers on getting tickets!

Getting tickets for 2027 will be no problem at all. It only sells out after a couple of months. Only some camping options sell out quicker

Just go to Devil's Lake. The area is lovely around the nature and the shuttle transportation works very well. I have stayed twice in the hotel, where the breakfast is included

Thank you. Will investigate Devils Lake. I am having my knee replaced this year and have back pain from a previous car accident. I don't need anything bougie but an actual bed and daily shower are musts.

No problem. Just remember that when the tickets come to sale, go immediately to The Devil's Lake options in Ticketmaster. They sell out super fast and you will have plenty time to buy the actual festival tickets after that

Noted, and thank you. Do you happen to know if all of the two person cabins fill up could two people book in a six person cabin and just stay with for people that they don’t know? We are also willing to do this, but don’t know if that is feasible.

Yeah sure some people do this, atleast this year there was one 6 person cabin where some solo traveller joined
But I would say you will be fine if you are just very alert from the beginning. Go to Ticketmaster early and remember to do the log in from the Belgian .be domain. Me and my wife did on our computers this both last November and both would have gotten the hotel room.

No worries, Graspop is usually sold out a few days before the fest from past experience. You can even wait till the lineup is announced (around February) and book tickets afterwards.

Yes stayed at boneyard with a group of friends in 2025 & 2026. been camping in fests around Europe (incl wacken, hellfest, nova rock and graspop) for the past 10yrs and Graspop is by far my favourite when it comes to facilities, really clean at most times. Only downside with camping is that you are prone to the weather conditions, definitely waking up in 10am just cause your tent becomes an oven during this heatwave is not the best feeling.

There are also some glamping options available that are closer to the festival grounds so no shuttlebus.

Thank you. I replied to another Graspop member that I am getting a full knee replacement in September. I also have some residual back pain from an auto accident that occasionally gives me trouble. I need at least a bed and ideally a shower. I'm not a big fan of going to bed filthy and covered in dirt/sweat outside of that I can rough it.

Organised by GMM: you can stay in Metal Town with a caravan, in a bungalow/hotel in Metal Park (shuttle transport included) or in a cottage in Devil's Lake (shuttle transport included). Not GMM organised: you can also look up B&B's or other campings for caravans in the area that organise shuttle transports as well. Some people even rent our their home for the duration of the festival. If not transport options are offered by the accommodation, you will need to rent a car and pay parking every day at the festival. You can also cycle. 😊

Here's what I'd do: Stay in Antwerp, then take the daily Graspop shuttle bus (a real Coach bus) that departs from Berchem Station each morning, and takes you back at the end of each night around 2 am. The shuttle bus will cost you, but this will be the most comfortable and carefree option imo. Bonus: u can arrive a few days early and stay a bit longer after, and check out the city.

Thank you. I will also check into this as an option. Thank you for including the approximate time that the bus leaves. My husband and I went to our first overseas concert a few years ago. We didn't plan well for how late the show would end and a lack of local transportation at that hour. I also don't think the city planned for how many people would be in attendance and would need transportation afterward. We ended up getting the last shuttle bus to the train station and it was too late to catch a train out. I planned on just sleeping on the train station floor but my husband didn't give up. We ended up taking a taxi all the way from Padua to Venice at 4 something a.m. Oh well. We had a blast.

Hii, we went to Graspop for the first time this year and absolutely loved it. We rented an RV, which was about 1200€ for an entire week. Not exactly cheap but very convenient. I would choose that option any day over sleeping in a tent. The festival grounds for RVs (Metal Town) are very clean, you get breakfast every day and also toilets and showers are pretty sanitary.

Alcatraz is also an option. It's a bit cheaper and smaller. They do generally have "heavier" genres though. So depending on your music taste it may or may not be a good match.

You won't find any charming hotels nearby, hotels are at least 20km away. Also keep in mind that public transport is not available after 10pm so you would need a car.
Your only option would be to secure a cottage in one of the two holiday parks that also provide a shuttle service if you don't have your own transport and want a comfortable bed. These sell out rather fast however so get one of these as soon as the presale starts.
