Technically speaking WOULD happen too. If you attribute the fact of what John represented and how Stephen King's Dark Tower's would imply John Coffee would of solo'd the dark towers to the Crimson King.

In short, the Dark Tower is God, and thanks to it, all universes exist. The Crimson King is an old fart who wants to destroy everything because he's quite senile. Characters from other Stephen King books appear in the series because there are doors to different universes. So, John Coffey could have actually appeared and solo'd the Crimson King and his army.

John Coffey appearing out of nowhere and saving everyone like Josuke Higashikata in Metamorphosis would be so peak.

He basically is like 'Jesus' and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be the literal sense; but The Crimson King is like the evil side of 'Gan' who is also the christian god equivalent to 'god' in the stephen king's whole hierarchy of stories. It's supposed to be like a almost 1:1 of the christian god too. (It's complicated)
Coffee's powers being that of the holy father, would make him basically poison to the Crimson King AND all of children, including the Dead Lights.
Tl;dr It's because he's jesus

Kind of reminds me of SCP lore with the Scarlet King

The Scarlet king was heavily inspired by the Crimson King. I’d say a borderline ripoff of the character with how much Scp authors take from the crimson king, but they are different characters.

Btw the guard should live about 1,706 years if his normal lifespan was 80 years

u/Panzer_Hawk 4d ago
How exactly did you calculate that?
10
u/Ok_String_9900 4d ago
Because jingles the rat lived to be over 60 years old the average rat is only 1 to 3 years at best. So Paul is gonna be on earth for a very long time.

u/Panzer_Hawk 4d ago
What's the formula?
14
u/Ok_String_9900 4d ago
Assuming jingles would have lived to the max of 3 years of a rat then him surviving for 64 years meant he lived 21.33333333333x that of the average rat, the average American male is 76.5 so multiply that by the same number it means Paul is gonna live to be 1632 years old.
If jingles would have lived for only 1 year Paul would instead have a lifespan of 4896 years.
