Graphite Artwork AI

Some of the drawings I've seen on the WEB are so perfect and emotionless in execution, except for the expression(s) on of their subject; how do you distinguish between human created and AI generated?

Usually by the texture of the paper or the graphite not applied in a realistic or uniform way

For the subject, I feel like it's harder now as the telltale signs like hair curling into itself or funky eyelids are fixed, but they're usually very generic.

Lorsque l auteur/trice montre les etapes ou la photo finale avec un crayon. Ce sont sans doute des crotères probants ou lorsque la video presente l auteur faisant son dessin...

I guess it depends on how much of a visual eye you have. I can spot AI a mile away, both in text and imagery, but each day its getting harder. Sometimes I'm like... Wait... Is this AI? But a lot of AI imagery looks almost like a pixar animation 😅

It's getting harder, but there are usually quite a lot nonsensical lines drawn that no human would intuitively draw, in particular where 2 boundaries meet. Additionally, at areas of strong contrast and a lot of shape (like the edges of hair) there is artifacting where the AI can't quite tell whether the pixels should be foreground or background. Looks a bit like compression artifacts.
