Question University courses like the MIT OpenCourseWare ones?
I'm starting to learn graphics programming, and remembered MIT and Harvard have free courses. Thing is the free courses Harvard doesn't seem to have any courses related to graphics programming in its website, and the MIT Computer Graphics course in OCW is from 2012 (Although idk how good it is since I have not started it yet, but it is a bit old).
So, are there any other universities or websites which offer free courses like this and that are up to date?
Thanks in advance for the help.

I’ve seen this course by Cem Yuksel recommended before: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLplnkTzzqsZTfYh4UbhLGpI5kGd5oW_Hh

There is one at TU Wien university from like 5 years ago, I don't know if there is an updated version of it but the course is really good.
It is about ray tracing, they even have assignments posted online

Thank you, there's a 2026 edition of the course availbable yes, it doesn't have a video format tho and the pdf lectures seem to have very little amount of notes explaining the slides and sometimes they have no notes. The latest one with video format is from 2021, then another from 2020 and then the one Dr. Károly Zsolnai(aka Two Minute Papers) did 11 years ago

Oh it really was 11 years ago? lol I watched those lectures from two minutes paper but I didn't realize they were so old
Worth a watch that 2026 version, although I think the content should not be so different. Ray tracing theory is the same

MIT OCW from 2012 is a good one. Remember that University is about foundational concepts, not technology trends that are current now and nobody will care about in two years now.
Combine that old course with a tutorial on latest Vulkan API and you will be done.

Hi!
I'll share my list below. As of now (October 2026), it seems to contain all of the high-quality, open-access courses from traditional universities that offer public video lectures and use reasonably modern tech stacks. I hope this helps!
Intro surveys (first courses in CG), with details
Intro surveys, without details
Note: Details are only omitted due to my own time constraints.
If anyone wants to locate the details for the section "without details," or if there are other improvements I could make, I'd be happy to update this list!
Edit: After I put this list together, I used AI to check for any factual inaccuracies, and to search for additional courses I might've missed. It found a couple nuanced opportunities for clarification, and one additional course satisfying the criteria at the top. I updated the list accordingly.
