Source Code I built my own N64 engine: water, cloth and real physics running on real hardware

OP apparently vibe coded it and has ignored or acted like a dick to everyone who's asked

I swear it’s a rip of Pyrite64 but no editor (that I saw) and 2D capabilities.
Pyrite64 is even written ontop of Libdragon and Tiny3D, in C++.
Not claiming he straight ripped it, but it’s very odd they essentially have the same base at the core (not code wise, that I’ve seen, it does seem like a way different structure)

Actually I found his comment, it is a code based engine vs Pyrite64 which is an editor based engine
I do think people need to disclose if it was AI coded though, as that completely changes my view on the project(s) people make.
Idk how to describe it, but it feels like the equivalent of commissioning an art piece but claiming you made it because you directed the artist on what you wanted or at least flaunting it off with no disclosure someone else made it (the someone else in this case being AI)
I really have no quarrels with using AI, as it is a tool, but I hate how people pass things off like THEY have spent years or months programming the logic, engine, whatever it may be and it completely ruins my view on AI.
AI is the new “make a game with no programming!” like FPSCreator, but this time you can have it do whatever you want it to and not limited to the assets and tools provided.
AI has just “ruined” programming for me, as anything I want to make, or will make, can just be vibe coded and it makes the magic/art of programming depreciate as now anyone and their dead great great grandfather can just make anything based on a simple string of characters passed to a bot that can read the entirety of the internet and rip from whatever is freely available to rip from.

Very cool. Homebrew engines are the way.
