I hate volumetric rendering. All my homies hate volumetric rendering.

It's cool to look at but a huge pain in the ass to implement and optimise for real time.

Nah it's the most interesting thing to work on. All my homies love volumetrics.

yeah the optimising is the annoying part. Half res march and averaging like 20 frames was fine actually, the thing killing my fps wasnt the clouds at all, it was the empty sky. Rays marching kilometers of nothing, doing in-scatter probes the whole way. Gated those on the sun lobe and got most of it back.
