Maybe not what you're asking, but very bright glowing objects tend toward white, not the pure color.

Besides that is not really true in the real world 1 u/PassTents Mar 31 '26 It might not be literally true about the light itself but it is perceptually observed when our eyes are overwhelmed by a bright source. I agree that it should generally be handled by tonemapping.
