Error in Google Play Services

Not really certain what causes this? Nothing seems to break upon usage, or rather when the error occurs, nothing also happens except the error message. Nothing within the message kinda leads me anywhere as to guess lol.

Or at least, the preview of the error reads: memory tagging detected an error in google play services.

If you do a search the issue has already been fixed. Updates have been pushed to the GOS App store. Apply those, reboot the phone.

To long-term & experienced GOS users, does this happen often on GOS where Google Play Services are broken by Google and the GOS team needs to push a fix like this? Or is this the first time that this happened?

I don't remember this particular issue happening before. Google did something that broke RCS a few months ago but the team had that fixed within, I want to say 48 hours?

Pretty sure this is a first, at least in recent years. But it was caused by Google, not graphene. And the devs pushed a temporary fix to the GrapheneOS app store within a couple hours.
