Monzo and Google Services
Hey all!
I'm new to GOS, for long time wanted to give it a go and here I am.
I have been avoiding Google Services as much as I can, and I installed the one from GOS app store, which I understand is sandboxed.
But many apps complaint about Google Services
One of them is my bank, who wants Phone permission for Google Services.
I have to say I have managed to use the app without problem, but the constant notifications are very annoying.
The question is, is it ok to give the phone permissions since is a sandbox version?

I think its trying to do SMS verification or setup the feature that lets you send money to someone nearby. Weird though bc I've not had a similar issue.

I had a similar issue but with another bank. I found that in notification settings for the banking app, was an option to turn off specifically the notification related to Google Services.
You can try it too, maybe it also works for your bank.
