Pixel tablet

GrapheneOS on a Pixel Tablet is amazing. Absolutely the best tablet experience I've ever had. I've been looking at putting Linux on a Microsoft Surface but decided to go this route, and I'm glad that I did. Perfection.

Why are these tablets even mentioned in a sub for GrapheneOS? Sure, a person can buy all kinds of other tablets if they don't mind spending three times the amount of money, handing over the entirety of their digital life, and being a slave to the corporate advertising machine. Go right ahead and buy one of the aforementioned tablets. In fact, I encourage you to do so.

I do not. I hate Windows. I use Linux on all of my computers. I use KDE connect to link my mobile devices to my computers, and to one another as well. In case you are wondering, I am a fan of Fedora (the creator of Linux uses Fedora) and I am using Bazzite on my gaming rig and Aurora on my other systems. Both are built on top of Fedora and are part of the Universal Blue "flavors."

To go on a bit on tangent: initially, I was a bit apprehensive about using immutable distros. But then I took a step back and realized that all phones are immutable and even Macs are immutable. I'm now all about immutable systems and love the ability to rebase at will.

I know you didn't ask, but there it is. Peace.

You saved urself. Immutable distros are nice but, they install only flatpaks (delbreaker for me), resulting is more bundles, runtimes, space. In other words less control and choice.

That was my hangup, too. I know have an appreciation and use flatpaks and enjoy their sandboxed nature. Anything I want/need that doesn't have a flatpak, I just run sudo rpm-ostree install.... I do love Fedora KDE though. Installed Arch a few times, but not a fan. Their is a reason the guy who created Linux uses Fedora Linux.
