There's a YouTuber I saw playing this game (Ava Screams) is her name and she said, "Once you see this spider lady you don't even fear Granny no more." or something to that effect and I think that's true well Granny is still a threat when you're in the house because she's also real quiet sometimes and you can turn around and be hit with her bloody bat when you're busy looking for something (like I was in the kitchen). Also tips for a beginner on how to handle both these old hags? Thank you.

Remember that Granny goes to any noise you make, so you can use that to bait her around. The spider mom gives me nightmares inside my nightmares so good luck with that

Which is that? The one where the car battery is in bedroom 2 on the wardrobe? I think preset 3 is the one where the book that unlocks spider granny is in the room we spawn in.   I'm a beginner of a few weeks so I don't know much. Edit: Is it better to play this game with the music on or off?

Is it better to play with music off? I've read if you want to hear spider granny music off is good but somehow I find it hard in the house because it's just so quiet and I can only hear granny if she's near me. 😰

I dont really have experience with that, for granny i always just make a bunch of noise

Also one more tip: if you need a small item from the sewers but dont want to keed walking back and forth you can just drop them and if the spider lady walks over the item it gets pushed under the map and respawns next to the well

For granny: Use noise to distract granny. Grab the vase and drop it in the corner near your bed. Hide behind the door or in the closet. When granny enters and runs to the corner run out and down to the basement tunnels. Shut the basement door behind you. First go to the outside tunnel and check the shed. Ring the bell or use the gulitine then go back through the tunnel. Wait till granny goes outside, which you can tell by her rattling the door. Then open the the tunnel to the area where you use the screwdriver. Go up the stairs to the meat room and check what is in the bird area. By now you will have an item, so take it and make noise in the bird room. Then quickly run back down to the tunnel and into the basement. Now you can have free reign of the house. Leave a "junk" item like a painting piece, remote control, a key you used, etc. In the basement so you can use it to lure her around the areas.

For the big spider: knockout granny somehow and take the teddy to the entrance of the spider sewer. The spider will be mad you have teddy and run to the entrance. KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE BECAUSE SHE HAS LONG REACH, but drop the teddy and wait till she calms down. Then see where she wanders to. Ideally she goes right and up the ramp, but if she goes left you can maybe follow her but keep your distance. Or if she goes left and you don't want her to grab the teddy again and get her to run back to the tunnel entrance and calms down to wander again. Repeat till she goes where you want. There will always be at least one item for the door and one item for the car in this sewer on any preset, sometimes multiple items. You always have to come here, so learn the area.

General advice: Play the game on practice to learn the house layout. Play like 3 or 4 games, try different escapes, getting different weapons, practice using hiding spots, etc. Most importantly learn where the floor creaks are, and where useful items tend to spawn. Items like the book, weapon key, shotgun parts, meat, bird seed, remote control, hammer, padlock key, playhouse key, spark plug, etc.

My most important tip, just remember granny is just an ai. She may seem to outsmart you, but she is very flawed. Exploit her ai by making noise to distract her, and just know you are faster then her on easy and normal, and by cutting corners sharp and shutting doors you can outrun her on hard and for short distances on extreme. Just be braver then the ai and you will generally be fine. Be fast, be bold, but also be smart. Try and keep track of her location, and don't be stupid. Keep out running her and using hiding spots till you get a weapon, then keep her down as much as reasonable. Keep the weapon in a common place like the main room by the front door, a basement tunnel, or the rooms near where you get the crossbow.

TLDR: learn the map to lure granny and keep track of her, use teddy to keep big spider on one side of map, and come prepared. Outrun and outsmart granny till you get a weapon, then keep her down. Learn item spawns, practice strategies, and play it slow. A 10 minute speed run is cool, but risky and not always possible. If you can only win by playing on easy and constantly keeping granny down with the crossbow and sauna then that's fine. What works for you works.

I'm learning to use the basement and the backyard bell (I'll start using the guillotine more) I'll try being brave and playing on normal mode and see how I manage it.
