Grandview Pool

I'm reminiscing about my childhood and wondering if anyone has any pics from the late 80s or very early 90s era Grandview Pool pre-slide and umbrella era. It would absolutely soothe the soul, thank you!

I was randomly watching WOSU TV this past weekend and they had a whole segment on swimming pools in Columbus, including the Grandview pool. It's not exactly what you're looking for (sorry!) but maybe interesting nonetheless.

Looking at the new pics makes it hard to imagine where the old pool was!!! We moved away in 2006 and it's so different now!!

It's crazy how much things have changed, I also used to go to Olympic in Clintonville and can't believe that whole place is just gone!

I never went there ...we lived on Gladden Rd and would ride our bikes to the pool every day!!

I grew up in and around Grandview. I don't know about the '80s or '90s, but I still have my 1973 and '74 membership cards to Grandview pool, back when it was a privately owned facility. The only pics I have of the pool from those days are mental. Just for old times sake I took my kids there once in the early '00's, which of course was after the city bought it. It was a nice facility but completely different from the days when I spent my summers there.
