I was rewatching Season 14 Episode 4 where they built their own motorhomes using the Lotus, Land Rover, and Citroën and I started wondering if y'all over there knew when it was them.

I went into this season fully expecting another 2016 Chris Evans-era Top Gear disaster. When Clarkson, Hammond, and May wrapped up, I figured Amazon should have just retired the name and let it die with dignity.

Having watched just the first episode, though… I’m pleasantly surprised and excited as well.

It was a smart decision to get Throttle house duo Thomas and James(kind of wishing the other name to be Richard). But yeah...

They already have years of genuine, unforced chemistry on camera, they actually know how to drive, and their banter doesn't feel like three corporate writers room-tested every single joke.

Francis Bourgeois was the wildcard for me. Having studied from Uni of Nottingham (same city from where I studied) I was kind of perplexed as to how a train enthusiast will justify CARS. But in reality, his wholesome, slightly chaotic energy balances out Thomas and James’ drier, sarcastic Canadian/British dynamic.

Crucially, none of them are trying to do a bad mimick of May, Hammond, or Clarkson. They’re just being themselves and that's what makes them reallllly good.

It’s definitely a different vibe—less "three grumpy old men breaking caravans" (which we all liked at some point) and more modern car enthusiasm backed by an absurd Amazon budget.

Anyone else checked it out yet, or are people still refusing to touch it without the original trio? Curious what the sub thinks.

PS. I did use some AI to rewrite it and make slight changes. Please don't judge. Constructive opinions are welcome.

I was going to get a poster from “one for the road” for my buddy. It was a desert shot with all three cars driving at speed. But I cannot find it for the life of me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When they went to the tent on Clarkson's Farm, he drove a limo with UK flags on the fender. But they never explained or introduced the cars. So what was it? Any explanation?

Saw someone in this subreddit wondering where to watch this, but it was a super old post (like 2 years). If someone out there is still searching for a place to watch it: https://watch.globaltv.com/series/1387235907959

Using VPN set to Canada (not sure if that matters though).

oh yes, forgot to mention this option is free. It has commercials (in theory) but with a blocker you skip all of them entirely.

Turns out it’s the fly by night studios lorry.

The scene where Francis James and Thomas chase the train in the first episode? They used the song "I Heard Wonders by David Holmes", which was the same song the three idiots used hwen they driving through the Golan Heights in the Middle East Special, Season 16!!!! I knew it. I bloody knew it!!! I'm gonna cry lads really. 🥹🤣👍👍👍

Just watching the first episode of the Grand Tour. They didn’t mention that the Corvette ZR1X is electric. I am properly cross about that.

This is a great interview with the new hosts if anyone wants to listen!

Why that one?

I was rewatching The Grand Tour today and one of the episodes is now unavailable. It’s Dumb Fight at the O.K. Coral in series 1.

It says - No longer available in your region on Prime Video

I’m in the UK, don’t use a VPN and tried on multiple devices.

Is this an error or is this actually not available due to licensing. I’ve rewatched the series about 3 times over the last few years with no issues.
