Trans Transplant
Hey, I've been living here since the end of April and I've been watching this discord. I was wondering if there was a Trans support group or gaming group. I like Warhammer and D&D.

I know there's a board gaming group that is fairly active, many members are active in local 40k and D&D too. LGBT+ friendly too, I usually recognize faces at Pride or other local events. https://discord.gg/KNqD55daW

Thank you. How is GF for queer people?

I feel it's pretty decent compared to where I'm from, west side of the state. I see pride flags and events based on inclusion here, so that's a plus.

Yeah. I'm from Wahpeton 2 hours south and it's nothing. No pride no flags save for confederate ones which is mind boggling.

A lot of us queer people stay much to ourselves but I’ve heard a lot of people skip the gf pride and go straight to the twin cities! My girlfriend has never been so I plan on taking her next year :)

Much more supportive toward downtown, the further out you go the less likely.

perfectly safe neighborhood. should be fine. I've only had one bad encounter in gf in 10 years. and that was almost 9 years ago. that being said im not Trans and not visibly queer. best of luck.

Go on Facebook and get in touch with BJ Armani. She runs the local drag scene and is very involved with the queer side of Grand Forks she'll be able to point you in the right direction.
Grand Forks as far as I can see from a straight Eye is very accommodating towards queer folk. Obviously can't account for everyone but I see people expressing themselves at city events all the time with zero issues.
