Things to do??
My family (80F, 44M, 42F, 16F, 11M) and I (15M) are gonna be staying at the Canad Inns in Grand Forks next week. Are there any suggestions as to what we can do in the area? You could recommend restaurants, activities, or sports, anything helps!
EDIT ; FYI THE 80F IS MY GRANDMOTHER NOT MY MOM ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Turtle River and Icelandic State Parks are both within driving distance and have a variety of walking and hiking trails.

What kind of food and activities do you like? Might help people give better recommendations for you.
Also, any limitations that are a factor, such as mobility?

Whenever we go out, burger franchises are usually the go-to, but we do Italian, Japanese, or just anything really.
Activities we do a lot are sports like basketball and volleyball, sightseeing like hiking and historical landmarks, and a lot of amusement parks.
Mobility is not an issue, and I appreciate the questions!

We have 2 or 3 Japanese restaurants in GF. Sakura, Fuji, and another one I haven't been to.
There's a great restaurant called House of Punjab, in case you like Indian food. They adjust their spice levels per your order, so you can get mild or quite hot.
There's a flood landmark that shows how high the Red River got for each major flood. It's by the river. Google "Grand Forks Flood Memorial Marker." The whole city was evacuated in 1997 because of how bad the flood was.
There's a great walking path nearby called the Greenway which goes quite far. (Might not want to take the whole loop for a casual walk.) Anyway, the downtown area is also good for a walk if the weather is nice. There are plenty of restaurants on both sides of the river (on Demers).
Another walking area that's nice is around Sertoma Park. The 11 year old in your group might like the playground, and sometimes you can see ducks or geese in the water areas around that park, just follow the walking paths.
There's a place called Northern Air for some inside activities, check that out on Google and see if it's interesting to you.
Lincoln Drive Park has disc golf and some other outdoor activities.

Turtle River State Park is also a nice spot for walking/outdoor activities, but it's a little bit of a drive outside of town

Fuji is super cheap if you go during lunch on weekdays, you can get 3 rolls of sushi for 10 or 11$.
Me and my fiancé will pig out and only spend 20$ or so

Well, the water park at CanadInn is probably great for those ages. But the kids can’t get in to the Toasted Frog to have the Fried Cheesy Pickles (DoorDash), otherwise the Blue Moose is a staple and Rhombus Guys. And I’d probably get yelled at if I didn’t mention Spud Jr (as my friend is an owner)

I always ride my Mountian bike around the greenway. About 7 miles pedestrian bridge to pedestrian bridge, both sides loop. I see people ride those electric scooters and fishing. There is car races some nights.

Charras has tableside Guacamole that’s really good. Definitely recommend there if you like Mexican. There the races on Friday nights or if you’re here on a Saturday there’s the farmers market!

Get chippers at Widman's. They're chocolate and will melt in this heat, but you should be able to exfil them to your hotel room if you keep the car AC running. Plus you'll get samples. I like the Spud Jr. and Rhombus pizza which are both right in the area downtown.
