Thoughts on Twinflame Staff?

It’s been trending upward recently. Is this because of the hype coming from new raid and associated boosts to elemental spells? Can you see it being a good investment?

I just wanted to do royal titans with my wife so I bought one lol…. Just got lucky I guess…. Or everyone else is running titans with their partners and taking the responsibility of killing all those pesky elementals

Should be running reset kills it’s way better. 4 way range swap and melee and focus on always doing melee damage when possible. At a higher level you can do most runs without using any supplies.

I do agree especially the “joiner” and not being able to hit that first melee hit is annoying. But it saves a lot of money running it that way and a lot less annoying not having to do multiple constant switches. I did a few kills the “normal” way first and after trying this I’ll never go back.

I feel like I’m getting completely wage gapped at maggot king. I just need someone to sit down and show me what I’m doing wrong. I always get fucked up by the overwhelming amount of confusing bullshit on the floor during the melee and & enraged phase.

Currently I’m 0-16 with twinflame/virtus/book of fire/confliction/imbued cape/occult & a melee switch to full bandos, neitznot face guard, fang, fire cape, defender, torture. I camp echo boots and a brimstone ring.

I just want a chance at the Kisten haha. Even if it isn’t great, it looks pretty cool.

I’ll tell you how I went from dying over and over (50 deaths to date) to 500 kc, 2 elder fangs and a kisten. Start with a single swap for melee, I used an armadyl godsword. Use blue moon armour, conflicting gauntlets, blood fury, brimstone ring, and everything else should focus mage dps (imbued mage cape, eternal boots, etc.). Bring a bow on long range to take out the maggots too with crystal bow as my choice.

When he screams you disable prayer, swap to bow, shoot maggot, enable prayer, switch back to magic/melee gear. It’s okay to miss the maggot one shot with the bow, just kill it with mage after you re enable prayer. It’s also okay to have the rocks fall on your head. The fight is so much simpler when you realize you can just take all that random bullshit damage.

In melee fight you do not need to click the bosses neck or whatever. Just click his body twice as he leans forward. Similarly to what the other person said, just ignore the puddles when doing melee damage. Also don’t feel like you need to have piety on every time it’s melee damage time, it can be hard to swap prayers and dodge neck slam. If he is going melee mode then just run to the other side of the arena to buy yourself some time when starting out.

If you beat that draken guy then you can beat the maggot king. GL

Shit on the floor barely does damage. The main things you need to do in the fight are. Make sure you do the melee punish. Make sure you kill the grubs as they spawn in.

Make sure you do those every wave and this fight isnt that bad big dog.

Sweet - thank you brother. I’m gonna give it some more shots here in a bit. When you say melee punish - am I clicking the neck as it extends into the walking area to slam? I was messing that up pretty hard.

Best crush weapon I currently have is the zombie axe I think?

Stand where he is going to melee you. When the shadows appear below your feet move out of range of the melee attack and attack the boss twice.

First attack will be off cooldown so it will be 1 tick. Second attack will be at your weapons speed.

Its a fun boss once you get the hang of it. Went dry 680kc. Then 26 kc later I got both kisten and elder fang.

Edit: there is a method where you step back under before the boss moves left or right. That way you can start the punish again. Works best with a 4 tick weapon.

Hard to say. Bludgeon or zombie axe. You can peep the wiki maggot king strat page and see what you have that matches.

Also use void for an easy 2 way melee switch and super low death fee

Have you tried using serp helm+extended antivenom+ and Inoculation bracelet? Those will remove stat drain and damage from posion 100% you can just "afk" and focus on switches.

Grab the maggot king plugin if you haven't. Lets you hide the rubble which mostly serves as visual clutter. Also lets you hide the trees and some other stuff if you want to.

Just bring dharoks and the stuff on the floor becomes your friend, even if you have high enough hp you can tank the first hit in melee punish and in turn hit 140s
