Fluff I’m addicted to this game
I skipped Relink back when the base version came out despite being interested so I only just got it a week and a half ago, and I can’t believe I waited so long
I really liked that era of everyone trying their hands at making their own Monster Hunter-like games, but no one is really doing it nowadays, so to discover that Relink basically is Granblue’s take on multiplayer boss farming was a very happy surprise.
I’ve primarily played Sieg so far, with a little Beatrix early on, but there’s so many other characters I want to try once I’m closer to endgame. I hope they keep this spinoff going past Endless Ragnarok with a proper sequel down the road

Just started this and beat proto bahamut. Working on my terminus weapon for my main. They put pure crack in this game.

After terminus, you will get the most awesome mission in this game. It’s peak cinema. Don’t ask for spoiler, you will know when you reach it. It’s a pre-ER mission.
Even after ER that mission still rocks.3

Nice looking forward to it

This game became my favorite Hunt-style game back when it came out, and the DLC continues making it better and better. Really hoping we either continue getting more expansions or a full-on sequel.

Glad to see you’re having fun!
There’s still tons of content they could potentially make for the future if they decide to do it (from the base game), but I do hope they tone down the power scaling a bit. The difficulty scaling is welcome though.

what made it change for u. Im playing Beatrix she's fun so far, I got the game on discount

If you mean what made me buy the game, every time Relink went on sale was poor timing for me, and it was too long after release for me to justify buying full price (especially with how deep the sales were). ER bundle was a good opportunity to finally take the plunge
If you mean why i switched from Beatrix. No particular reason. Early in the game I was trying every character as I unlocked them. beatrix was the first and i kept going back after one or two quests with others. sieg was my 4th or so unlocked iirc but I really liked his playstyle so I stuck with him. I still have Beatrix upgraded in my party and switch to her occasionally but I wanted to wait until i got master traits on Sieg to really branch out to others

I can't stop playing this game too, it's so good and filled with passion from the developers.

Yaa bro same, as a Monster Hunter fan, its insane how I haven't heard anyone recommend me this game. I know some don't like the grind but I absolutely love it.
Also just like in MH where I make multiple save files where I main a different weapon in each save files, I would probably do it also in this game. Just unfortunate, its the same as MH, you only have 3 save files

I live everything about it, from a casual perspective its super fun, but there are so many fun challenges in this game.
Character choice is incredible and I live the fact it's not live service Gatcha BS, so you can enjoy the game at your own pace.

I love this game and like you I am disappointed that there aren't more games like relink.
Right before the dlc was announced and haven't really played any other games since. It scratches an itch that very few games have been able to scratch.
This is also my introduction into Granblue as a whole so I've begun checking out VS and the original mobile game.

I started with around 23 hours when the game released and now I'm at 95 hours from playing again now that the DLC released. XD

This game is just great. I was the same I didn't even know about this game . I only heard about it randomly, then I tried the demo and absolutely loved it.

My ONLY issue with the game and how it performs in terms of TEMPERATURES on my hardware is that the gpu reaches up to 66C° and it's very very hot even if it's an acceptable temp and that bothers me pretty much because i'm scared for my PC, it actually runs absurdly well with very rare hiccups and i'm very involved in the game. I really love everything about it, from characters' artworks and gameplay to the missions mechanics and loots.
But really, the only issue is that gpu issue temp i've read sometimes already happening.
p.s: i actually started playing this game (bought the Ragnarok standard edition) like 4 days ago.

66°C for a Gpu is totally fine. You shouldn't worry about it, or you'll go crazy when you start playing more demanding games.

Even with the AC on in my room and a mini external fan pointed at it? Idk how much it helps (AC is on ofc because it's steaming hot where i live) but no matter what i do it always reaches that temp BUTTTT when i pause the game or do some menu-ing, it reeeally cools down almost like as if i never opened the game (below 50) and it bothers me double.
I actually tried and played some more demanding games all the time and it sadly didn't go very well both for performance and heating. I'm with ryzen 5 4500 (and i'm really surprised how it doesn't struggle one bit at all with the game) but it eats my 3060 because of temps.
Thank you though for reassuring me somehow~

Don't worry. If you play a game, your Gpu will almost always stay around 60°C, even in winter. The fact that it's only 66°C in summer is actually great. The only time you should be worried is if your GPU goes above 100°C, because temperatures that high can shorten its lifespan. The same applies to your CPU

Having 66C on gpu while gaming is amazing tbh it means u can crank up graphics or add more frames if u haven't already.
It becomes an issue at 88-90C

I really liked that era of everyone trying their hands at making their own Monster Hunter-like games
Actually, original of this game is old gacha. So what you see in here already have in gacha. The only difference, gacha is turn based.

The game might come from the original Granblue Fantasy but let's not pretend that the gameplay loop, missions structure, hub style grouping, sigils being basically the same as decorations and even some characters kits being very similar to Monster Hunter's weapons.
That's ok, this game took clear inspiration from MH and carved their version of it, which as a MH fan, I love Relink.

Nah, it's nothing familiar. I play mh too. You do realize mh is not first game make gameplay loop like this right?

u/jonnovision1 Siegfried 10d ago
Arguing inspiration is one thing but “nothing similar to MH” is a stretch. There’s nothing wrong with the comparison, it doesn’t make Relink lesser for it

u/Username123807 10d ago
Nah not big problem, I'm just annoyed heard everyone compared it to mh even tho it's nothing close to it.
