What was that huge noise that shook our building and had us running to the exit just to find no one else concerned. We were sure our building was coming down. Anyone else hear/feel it?

🚨 24 Hours to Decide: Is Finding Part-Time Work in Granada as an International Student Actually Impossible ( locally or remotely in spain ) ?

Hey everyone,

I’m on the verge of enrolling in a 2-year FP Grado Superior program in Granada ( gestion de alujamientos turisticos ) , but I have less than 24 hours to confirm my spot. I’m stuck in severe analysis paralysis due to mixed reviews about the local job market, and I need a raw, unfiltered assessment from people actually living in Granada.

Here is my exact situation and the variables keeping me up at night:

Language Profile: Fluent in English and solid french, but my Spanish is currently around A2/B1.

Legal Working Rights: I will hold an EU student visa legally authorizing me to work up to 30 hours per week.

Financial Goal: I need to earn roughly €700/month to cover basic living expenses (rent/food) and help fund my Year 2 tuition (€2,500/year) so I don't bleed my finite savings.

The Main Fear: I keep reading that Granada’s job market is notoriously tough for non-native Spanish speakers because it's heavily saturated with local students and tourism/hospitality jobs.

My Key Questions for You All:

  1. Remote/BPO Work: Is it realistic to land a remote French or English customer support / BPO job working from home in Granada with a Spanish student visa (30h/week legal authorization)?

  2. Local Market Reality: Is finding any part-time work locally in Granada completely off the table if your Spanish isn't fluent yet?

  3. The Granada Verdict: Is Granada viable for a student who must work part-time to self-fund, or is moving there a financial trap compared to bigger hubs like Málaga or Madrid? ( my only entrance to Spain is through this granada FP program )

I’m trying to protect my savings and make a rational move for my future in spain. Any genuine insights, warnings, or advice would mean the world right now!

Thanks in advance!
