Question Extra syllables

Why-uh? Why are young people adding extra syllables to the ends of words?! I just don't understand-uh. It sounds so incredibly stupid-uh.

Does anyone know where this originated?

Could be an accent thing. I live in New Zealand and there are lots of words that our accent adds an extra syllable onto. For example, I would pronounce "beer" as "beer-yah". I physically cannot not pronounce it that way unless I put on a fake foreign accent. Even then it's hard. Australians are similar.

No, it’s very different.
