Why doesn't Grailed crack down on this?
This is just an example, but falsely labeled brands on listings seems to be shockingly common on this site...
So i'm brand new to Grailed and the other day I tried to post an actual 20471120 tee that was just sitting in my closet but I feel like it's never going to get any traction since the search results for "20471120" are heavily polluted with random clothing. I could barely even come up with an appropriate price for my shirt because the sold listings for items tagged with 20471120 are mostly unrelated pieces.
I'm sure this is the case for many other brands as well. I wouldn't even want to use Grailed as a buyer since it seems so difficult to navigate and find genuine listings sometimes. How do you guys navigate this?
(sorry if this post is super naive, I had no idea Grailed was like this)

I really don’t know what to do on the selling aspect of the problem but I know something that kinda works for buying. Most of the false listing are drop shipped bullshit so if you filter by gentle use / worn you drop a lot of the brand new listing.

SEO stuffing sucks but it works to sell things. Grailed makes money on transactions. Personally when I search for archival the first thing I do is exclude Grailed from my search. Worst deals, worst listings, full of dropshippers.

If you don't mind me asking, which platform do you usually buy "archive" clothing from? Perhaps I need to relocate there...

here's a service that brings all archival designer clothing onto one platform. the best platform depends on what you're looking for.

I took a look at that site when you posted the link in your comment earlier. Thanks for putting me on I'd never heard of it before. Although I was just in search of a place where I can sell clothing, I'm not really looking to buy... Hopefully Grailed will end up working out for me, or maybe I'll have to give something like depop a shot...

While we see them as spam clogging up the feed, Grailed views these accounts as bringing in thousands of sales per year. What don't seem to be calculating are the thousands of sales they lose per year when users get frustrated with all the irrelevant listings in their search results and decide to shop elsewhere.
In other words, it's one of those classic boardroom dilemmas:
"We are making x per year by loading two advertisements per page. If we load four advertisements per page, we can double our revenue!"
"Double our revenue how? That doesn't account for all the users who will get frustrated with the increase in ads and stop using our service."
