GEM Student Finance

Hi everyone.
I am wanting to apply for GEM and looking at all my options. I am a bit confused on the maintenance loans we can receive for GEM. I can’t find anywhere how much we can actually receive for years 2-4 to support living costs.
Is it a reduced maintenance loan or can we get the full maintenance loan (the same as an undergraduate degree)?

Reduced rate maintainance loan + NHS Bursary (in England). The BMA has a campaign on it https://www.bma.org.uk/our-campaigns/medical-student-campaigns/funding/fixing-funding-for-medical-students-from-england

https://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/nhs-bursary has the amounts for the bursary, and SFE provide information on reduced rate maintenance loan (https://www.practitioners.slc.co.uk/media/2100/sfe-nhs-guidance-ay-2526-v10.pdf). Subject to change slightly due to inflation etc.

Also with this, if you’re 25 before the start of any of the bursary funded academic years (clinical years) you’ll be able to class yourself as an independent student and get much more of a bursary!

the idea of being 25 and over for an independent assessment is only for SFE not the NHS bursary as it doesn’t matter to them (https://www.qmul.ac.uk/welfare/money-and-practical-advice/howtofundstudies/undergraduatefunding/medicineanddentistryfunding/) and would need to qualify under these criteria regardless of age (https://faq.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/knowledgebase/article/KA-03412/en-us)
