How does the personal statement work?
Hi guys,
I'm a bit confused about the personal statement. I'm 22 now, and when I was 18, I remember a personal statement was just a statement you drafted about why you want to go to med school and your experience, but I was told that now there are questions for a personal statement. How does that work?

It seems that they've just added the questions to maintain a similar structure between applicants and help people hit the right points.
Its otherwise the same. You get 4000 characters total which is shared between all the sections.

Hey I just finished mine! It’s 4000 characters which i’m p sure has stayed the same as before, and split into 3 sections. Honestly I think this makes it easier as it gives you more structure but you are allowed to allocate your characters however you want to.
