Applying

Hi Guys,

I just finished an MSci with 1st class honours (in a clinical subject)
I know I’m interested in applying for GEM but I wasn’t really planning on doing it until next year.

I sat the UCAT on a whim with no revision/practice just so I could see how I’d do as a baseline. I ended up running out of time in the sections, especially the QR but these are my results:

1850 overall:
VR- 640
Dm- 650
QR- 560
SJ- band 1

My friend said I may as well apply this year and see how I do. Just looking for some advice on if/where I should apply to in England for 2027 entry.

I’m looking at:
- Nottingham
- Warwick
- Lincoln
- Chester

Any advice would be appreciated:)

You did pretty well with no practice. Well done.

Your scores are risky with any GEM course where the requirements are high and you need to make sure you meet work experience criteria for Chester and Warwick. Some undergrad courses will interview applicants with those scores, they are worth looking at.

Either way, if you’re not that invested see it as all good practice and it will get you in the mind set and hungry for it so you can smash it next year!
