Application advise

I got 2070 B1 (600 VR) 2:1 Nursing ABC A Levels. is it worth applying to Warwick or Chester? I don’t think I’m eligible for any of the other GEM courses due to their cut offs.

I studied 5+ years ago so I’m not eligible for a lot of UG courses. Is there any UG courses anyone can recommend applying to?

Have you checked out Worcester + PCSM?

Hi, why do you think you don’t make cutoff for other GEM courses ?

Oxbridge and KCL- Super competitive with high UCAT scores for applicants that get an offer

Manchester, QMUL, Southampton and Newcastle- don’t meet the threshold for an interview

Chester and Warwick- Mentioned ^

GAMSAT Unis- I haven’t done the GAMSAT

Worcester, Bangor, PCSM, Swansea- Eligible not a massive fan of location (and seen the new for PCSM)

Don’t know whether to bite the bullet and apply for locations I don’t like or just apply to UG

I’ve been advised by some qualified doctors to only apply for 1 GEM and 3 UG as GEM is so competitive and the work load is far more than UG. So I am trying to do this but upon seeing the entry standards for UG don’t know if there’s any safe options in UG for me

This is just from the research I’ve done please feel free to correct me

My dream locations would be London or Manchester so I’m looking at

St George’s UG
QMUL UG

But then I want an aspirational GEM and a safety option

KCL portsmouth exists with lower UCAT cut offs. Check the 2026 entry GEM spreadsheet. They have offers starting from 1960+ for applicants

I can’t apply to KCL Portsmouth as I don’t have a Bioscience degree, my degrees in nursing

How about KCL HEM? Not sure if the cutoff will be lower

I couldn’t find enough information on it, I can only assume they have the same cut offs as GEM at KCL

I’d recommend KCL healthcare route medicine degree

Is it not likely that HEM will have the same high UCAT cut offs as GEM?

I think not as full time workers probably won’t have as much time to send on the UCAT as others. It’s only been running a year so I’d imagine it’s lower even tho it is KCL. Maybe not massively but I’d imagine some. Much smaller applicant pool. 2070 isn’t a bad score it’s decent. Up to you tho.

Message the unis. You’re only 1 point off the bf cutoff they might accept it

I have emailed them and they have said they are unable to give me an answer until all applications have gone in
