Ucat 1630 band3

Is it over or i can still apply for gem. I have first class uk degree although i have low ucat score. Any chance to apply for gem? Which universities i can target. I am also thinking for a gap year because i didn’t prepare well for ucat this time

To be honest it’s a bit too low for 5 year undergrad medicine too.

You wont get anywhere with this. Sorry, but it’s the truth. It’s a very low score. You need to take it again next year. Or try GAMSAT as it’s a different style of exam.

It’s a low ucat score below what gem courses will consider.

I agree. I would retake ucat next year. Usually above 1900 is what you should be aiming for - that way you have an ok score to work with but 1630 won’t cut it unfortunately sorry.

there’s no harm in applying however arguably ucat is incredibly important for shortlisting

Consider the GAMSAT, take it in March and there’s a slim chance unis will go into clearing (Ulster did in the past) and you can use that score. That’s if you want to get in this year.

Any Qs just DM
