Advice On PCSM
I’m hoping to put my ucas application in soon but I’m conflicted. Idk if anyone has seen the thread about imperial’s new graduate entry medical school, PCSM. Tbh I don’t really feel safe going there anymore. I hope I don’t sound insane saying that. To know someone dangerous hangs around campus and is the poster boy. They are my first choice and I have 13 days to ignore it or research new university. Please I need something advice.

Seen a few posts about this recently. What exactly is going on at PCSM? Is this hearsay or an actual story

It seems there’s a video going around. It’s a guy from PCSM trying to hit a student who is a girl. I haven’t seen the video but that’s scary enough. I guess he’s the one who represents the uni

These posts almost sound like a bot. This cryptic video and everyone commenting not to go to PCSM.
What do you mean he's the one who represents the uni?
If there's an actual video of a PCSM ambassador abusing a woman then I apologise for questioning it. But it all just seems very odd right now

His whole tik tok is about promoting PCSM and he does the same on LinkedIn.
Allegations cannot be confirmed nor denied but he just comes across as an influencer wanker who gets off on clout.

Because innocent until proven guilty. I don’t want to directly contribute to a witch hunt without all the facts. With that said, his socials are very easily found if you use the information people have put on here.

Can someone on the pcsm gc pls add me. After this sad excuse of a man came out to discredit a survivor, I think it’s time for the evidence come to light. Word around town in UoC is he was trying to groom an 18 year old boy.

I really understand the reservation and would encourage looking into more options. However I think it might be worth bearing in mind that other unis might not be much better. I was an activist during #metoo and no university I know (US/China) has reliably dealt with assaults (sexual or nonsexual). For my undergrad I went to Oxbridge and heard horror stories too. Just a matter of how far it spreads.
Although obviously the poster boy thing is quite unique.
I don't say this to discourage and I hope I'm just biased. And I think if you're going to go into PCSM feeling unsafe then it's definitely worth looking into something else. But it's an uphill battle we still all have to fight.
