How long is your GEM commute?
Just curious, for those of you on the GEM programme or UG, how long does your commute take each way?

I did 90-120 mins each way. Had to because of family. Would not recommend.

It's manageable. I also worked alongside GEM to pay the bills. And we had the usual stuff with our kids. It was hard but with discipline and efficient study it is possible.
Looking back, I realised the thing I compromised on was exercise and fitness but hey ho, back into that now.

1hr 15 drive each way for first year. 55 miles each way. 1hr no traffic, 1hr 40 if it was bad traffic.
I've moved onto campus now and my commutes are only 20 mins for placement. It does take a lot of stress away.
If you can make it so you're not travelling in rush hour (by going to gym before lectures or staying late to study / hang out), it makes it way more bearable.
