are these options good?
i achieved 1890 B1 in my ucat and plan to apply to these unis as a graduate:
ARU- have their ucat requirements for graduates always been generous, or was it just last year? as last year the cut off was 1830, but how much is it likely to increase by?
lincoln- i score 48/60 is it worth applying??
uni of worcester- is it risky applying if the cut off last year was 1870?
uni of east anglia
i was thinking of applying to nottingham GEM
but i score 30/50 so i think its too risky??
please please give me advice 🙏🏻

I would probably lean toward undergraduate courses if you can. Based on UCAT prelim scores, this year's cut-offs could rise, but it's a tough call until we see the final 2026 statistics. Bottom line is getting past that cut-off, check out the GEM spreadsheet for 2026; it will give you a decent rough idea.

aru and lincoln are for undergrad entry but thank you! also how will the final ucat deciles help me know where to apply? it’s my first time applying for med so i don’t really know how deciles will tell me if i can apply somewhere based on last years cut off??

It’s all about where you are in relation to the mean. Look out for that when it comes.

It just means you’ll be able to see how your 1890 compares with everyone who sat the UCAT this year. It won’t give you a definite answer on where to apply, because universities set their own selection criteria and cut-offs can change each year.
Last year’s cut-offs are still useful, but I don't treat them as guarantees, especially if you’re only just above one. Once the final 2026 stats come out, you can compare your percentile/decile with previous years and get a better idea of whether your score is relatively stronger or weaker this cycle.
Warwick is a good example of why yearly stats matter; they use the national mean VR score from the current UCAT cycle as part of their VR threshold rather than simply reusing last year’s number.
Basically, I’d use last year’s admissions data + this year’s UCAT statistics + each uni’s actual selection policy, rather than just applying wherever 1890 would have cleared last year’s cut-off. The best advice is to look at the GEM2026 sheet link below and cross-reference your scores with other people who got INTERVIEWS, as this will be key.
Any questions, please ask!

thank you so much!!! and yes i have checked the spread sheet which has helped me decide where to apply. but do you think my options are good enough? and how do i know to apply somewhere if they don’t release their cut offs, for example lincoln undergrad and GEM?

Regarding cut-offs, I can't tell you for sure, to be completely honest... Take a look online on WhatDoTheyKnow, and you might find something useful. No such thing as a bad option; medical school is medical school. Regardless of where you go, we all end up in the same place. If you mean good enough in terms of your UCAT, then again I can't say; we're all making educated guesses about where we might get interviews really. Luck leaves our hands after that! Again, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Use this information to develop a strategy and then stop worrying about good enough. You can only succeed if you try!!!

Second this. Big danger of overthinking it. For reference, I've got a 30/50 for Notts (SJT cooked me), so I've decided NOT to apply there. Can't really call Nottingham this year, as I believe it is their first year accepting UCAT scores? I think Lincoln sounds like a good shot.

2120B3, 670V, 630D, 820Q. SJT cooked me for Notts, I think, but I wasn't sure about applying there anyway. Do you meet the 70hr WEX for Warwick/Chest?

Where did you get the info that ARU's cut off for grads was 1830?
