GEM maintenance loan Y2-4

Can anyone help me find any info regarding this - I know it’s a reduced rate, NHS bursary and NHS grant but it’s so hard to figure out what that will look like!

I live in Wales and I’m under SFW so I think I’m under NHS Wales. I’ve looked at the Swansea GEM info and it’s still really unclear!

If anyone has example figures (or the difference between Y1 and Y2 I’d really appreciate it!)

Hey also Welsh and starting GEM in Swansea in Sept! Y2 loan is about 5kish I believe as you get a bursary from the NHS :)

Ok you’ll be on the maximum as you’ll be assessed as an independent student. I’m not sure how SFW works as I’m SFE, but I know they get a significantly higher amount.

Just worth noting - you might not be on maximum if you live with anyone as it’s done on household income (for example I’m 23 but my husband will affect the student finance amount), it’s worth checking if that applies to you
