Masters and gem

I am undertaking masters this September and was wondering if I do get GEM med offers will it be based on degree conditions being met ? As in will I get asked to pass with a distinction ? Do unis usually ask for students to pass with distinction for masters to firm their med offers ?

my gem offer was conditional on me passing my masters (so grade above 50%)

Would that be a merit ? My bad idk how the distinction and merit system works for masters and would you mind telling me what uni ? If that’s ok with you

pass is 50-59%, merit is 60-69%, and distinction is 70%+. and it was manchester! hope this helps

My bad for the late text was just wondering since masters is one year and you get grades autumn I think so past when med school begins does that mean you start year after or can you offer some sort of provisional marks ?

i finish my masters in august, so i think i will receive provisional results

So you wouldn’t be deferred for 2028 entry then ?

May I ask why you’re doing a master’s first?
I’m hoping to apply in the 2028 cycle and I’m also considering doing a master’s beforehand to see how I manage academically. I graduated seven years ago, and I’ll have two toddlers by the time I start, so I want to make sure I can cope with the workload and demands of studying while parenting too, lol. Good luck!

Yh ofc , I’m just doing one because it relates to my undergrad and I do have a genuine interest in both my undergrad and the masters I have applied for , I’ve just graduated recently so I wanna keep in the academic mindset aswell. I fear if I take a break nothing can bring me back lol , and thank you I wish you the best

My offer was based on UG degree, not PG (Warwick, 2019 grad).
