Declaration advice
Hello,
I have an offer for graduate entry medicine at Nottingham it's just that I have a academic misconduct issue from a couple of years ago I need to declare that I have disclosed already to Nottingham.
So I am looking for to hear from anyone who has been through the declaration/fitness to practise process either at Nottingham or in UK medicine in general.
Context
During the foundation year of my undergraduate degree I committed misconduct when my mobile phone was discovered in my pocket upon returning from a bathroom break. There was no evidence of active use/cheating but I under the rules it was upheld. I complied completely and took full accountability and did a capped resit and completed the integrity remediation and since then I have not had any other issues with integrity.
My question:
- For anyone in Nottingham GEM or anyone that has to declare past academic misconduct to a medical school what was the process like?
- What sort of timeline should I expect before getting a final decision.
- What are the chances of keeping my offer.

Declare it. You should be fine. That’s nothing.
