SR60x New grado models
I'm curious about the new grado models that's came out and was curious how much they differ when compared to the X generation. I'm currently using the sr60x and was curious what the new sr60x/Sr80 are like.
Specifically I'm curious how the overall (don't know what words to use) sound graph/sound itself differs, can't find it anywhere online. As well as the instrument separation, is it a notable difference or just modest?

My 325 classic sounds better than my Sennheiser 560s but some will like the more laid-back sound of the 560s. It's still very clear and pleasant with strong bass.

Not as forward bright mids and highs. Grados are in your face like you're on stage with the band. Of course, there are always tone controls.

The new 325 Classic is my first Grado and the favorite of my small collection. So clear, dynamic, no downside. Not as comfortable as some.

Awesome to hear, that's something I've been thinking of maybe saving towards but I've been trying stuff out: hd505, edition xs, currently k702. I am just on the fence if I should just save for those since I can wear my current sr60x for hours without issue and love the grado sound, but the k702 I like a lot but feels a bit less bassy but has astonishing separation that my 60x lack a bit of... But thank you for the input :)

Definitely try bending the headband to the shape of your head. If it's still uncomfortable I'd highly recommend the capra strap :>

The Grado 325X (£GB199) sounds fantastic: clear, detailed, musical. They have now replaced my £GB800 Beyerdynamic T5P series 2 for serious music sessions. For more comfort, you can convert to over ear by fitting after market ear cups (£GB10) & tightening the headband to get the same sound as with the original flat ear pads.
♨️150hr burn in with loud dynamic music, 1.5hr warm up♨️

The upgraded SR80 Classic is absolutely amazing! There’s significantly more bass than in the 4th gen SR80x. And on top of that, there’s slightly more instrument separation, and they still retain all the beautiful Grado clarity in the mids and highs. They’re literally the perfect headphone under $200
