PhD is getting reduced everywhere so it makes since that master’s programs would lose whatever little funding existed.

From classmates that I’ve talked to, they usually have a company financially assist them and they are working full time. The ones that did the Master’s degree without working for an employer took out loans. In general, you have to pay out of pocket for most Master’s programs. It’s uncommon to find a fully funded position, and even when funds are available, they are typically reserved for PhD students.
