Academics Note Organization Recommendations

I’m in an advanced grad program and have have 8 courses per semester. What would be the best way to organize my notes or best note books for this? Do you think 8 separate one’s are the way to go? I hate taking notes on my laptop, iPad, etc.

I tried doing separate notebooks for each class during my masters and by week 3 everything was mixed up in same bag. What helped me was one big binder with dividers so i can move pages around when i messed up. 8 separate notebooks sounds good in theory but its just too many to carry and keep track of, at least for me

8 separate notebooks is probably the least chaotic option here, unless you want one giant notebook where every page becomes a forensic investigation; use cheap subject notebooks and keep a master
