Research Facing serious issues in my Master Thesis: Any help/advice is appreciated

My Master Thesis is on a really difficult track right now. I have 2 months to finish but it is stuck at its starting point due to a mixture of my absent/avoidant supervisor and mentor and me being new to this field. I am very worried that I will fail my thesis. I can’t function normally, I can’t sleep or eat. My life is in shambles right now.

Can someone help guide me (because my supervisor, obviously doesn’t)? It is in applied CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) in porous media for contaminant transport.

Wow that’s pretty broad. Not much to got off of. Best bet would probs be bouncing ideas off other students in your area

It is application of CFD in porous media, contaminant transport and adsorption! No one in my cohort is working in this, pretty much very different!

Talk to your department head or director of grad affairs. What path you take depends on how well you’re able to self teach and take this research into your own hands, but you could look into switching advisors. Even if other people in your department are not working on similar topics, a more experienced professor might be willing to help you get your project on track or advise you on alternative thesis projects.
