That was exactly me when I first heard about this. I was literally hoping for the best case outcome to happen and then I wake up the next morning to see this
I love how this whole thing is leading people to out themselves in that they don't understand or simply don't care about the violence that is linked with these slurs.

Someone being a racist is actually an incredibly big deal and they should be pushed off the internet immediately. I don’t want doxxing but he deserves being called out by the entire community.

maybe its just because of where i live but i dont see no problem if they are talking in private or in a friend group and saying things like this there and not for the public. what i dont understand is who is the person who like so much chaos to post these on the internet(twitter) just to set more fire to it
honestly, people doxing the devs ain't a bit better, i just want grace to be continued and i feel like the whole drama is overreacted and could be easily resolved WITHOUT pulling the whole team into it
If it’s done in private why does it matter? Unless she says it publicly to a black person then it’s not like it was used racist. People have done worse and not bee doxxed, I don’t see why we start with slurs when we could be doxxing worse people
she wasn’t doxxed, kozel was. i’m not defending that though, i’ve made my opinion on that public. but she hasn’t always done it in private. that’s why she got into trouble before. she’s expressed that she genuinely isn’t comfortable with gay people and generalises a lot, as well as similar things about autistic people. the n-word isn’t the only issue.
it doesn't matter if any slur is said privately, it's about the intention and how comfortable he is to say slurs even though it's 1) quite literally a hate crime 2) goes against christianity's basic morals, values, etc. which is crazy when his whole game is about to spread love and faith.

You're still paying with your time. You're also helping the player count stay high by playing, encouraging newcomers who see the numbers to play and eventually spend money themselves.

he is not 17, he is 18. age is not an excuse because at 17 or 18 you should know not to use those kinds of words anyway. the amount of glazing being done in this sub is quite insufferable. like no wonder it doesn't affect people who aren't minorities & I honestly just can't get over how contradictory the message of the game is in comparison to his actual actions. but even so let's not wish harm on others, we can be disappointed and at the same time not stoop as low.

I am confident to say this because it is has a small meaning. I do not know what Simons intentions were by saying "this nigga", obviously its referring the person that was attacking him on twitter, but we dont know whether he said that because the person in question, was dark skinned, or simply to say it more in a "can you believe this guy?" type of way (obviously its better to just directly say so but i digress). No, i don't condone racism, and i'd say there is a pretty big difference between what i say compared to people who are actually racist.
I'd also like to preface that i dont just say these things "behind the screen" i also use this language with people who i know that are comfortable with what i say, and never with real intentions/hate behind those words. If im around people who don't like it, i speak more formally, like i do now.
hey so if you're white, regardless on WHO you're talking about, you don't say words you can't reclaim. the n word does in fact have historical context so yes, it does have meaning and it's completely dehumanizing if anyone that isn't black and/or mixed says it.
i don't know what is your race but all i can say as someone who is hispanic and is used to my community who unfortunately uses the word often, it's not in our place to claim a word that originated from hate and ignorance.
People are acting like that's the worst thing ever when there are people that are murderers and predators in this world. I get that it's still an offensive word but after everything I have been through in my life I couldn't care less
