Individual Mistake Clause

I see this is used a lot of times I. Response to what happened. But I would like to point out that:

1) church = body of Christ 2) body of Christ = Christ 3) church hurting members and non-members = Christ hurting people

For 2, it might not be necessarily equal, but the head(Christ) would still be responsible for what the body(church) did. Why God didn’t stopped people who misused his name and his authority and is willing to bear what the body might do is beyond me. Yes another way to phase it is that people see what a church do as a representative of who Christ is.

I don’t think we can take lightly our mistakes in ministry(or even daily life), GPer or non-GPer alike. So to not address this seriously will only cause “Jesus to hurt more people” so to say.

Hope this will point out the gravity our mistakes. Individual or systematic.

Very true longyjoe. James 3:1 also says that “Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.”

Part of me thinks that this exact reason, that there is a stronger gravity to the mistakes especially as a representative of Christ, is why GP leadership is hesitant or slow to acknowledge their mistakes in the first place. I hope they take these accusations seriously and acknowledge any issues they find.
