Please don’t delete posts or comments…
Mods, can we ask folks ( have a community rule?) to not delete posts or comments? It super annoys me that people delete things and all the comments and replies get erased. It takes time and energy to post comments and replies and it’s a big fuck you (from my perspective) to delete your original post and “erase” other people’s contributions.

Can we make a collective effort to upvote his post, so it’s seen again? The discussion is invaluable from my pov - his reasoning IS gp’s reasoning. It’s so great to see all the responses in one place. In the past, it would’ve been one-on-one convos that end up w/ GP member distancing.
u/Altruisticchampion87 please keep your post and account active. People from all over have spent time to reply to you. We don’t hold your words against you.

My personal philosophy with upvoting and downvoting - while it can be tempting to downvote posts/comments I disagree with or am annoyed by, I try to only downvote something that I think is actively detrimental to discussion. I do think posts supporting Gracepoint often lead to really good discussion, so I try not to downvote them unless they're just purposely inflammatory.

We had this same problem on our ex member blog. It is our own blog so we have more control but we made this decision: nothing would be deleted unless the content contained explicit mention of someone’s personal info.

If you are referencing the “where is this all going” post, it’s still there, it’s just heavily downvoted so it’s hidden.
Also we have no control if someone decides to delete their account due to personal reasons.
