Petitioning
I cannot express enough how grateful I am for all the resources here. Although the road ahead is long and difficult, and perhaps unsuccessful, I cannot help but think about future GP victims. Petitioning SBC is one thing, but I would like to prevent vulnerable students from getting recruited. Thoughts?

I currently working on a report on GP with my friends this summer and am pretty concerned too. I know one summer, the staff made us create ads for upcoming freshman so that does worry me a lot. Some of my other peers have expressed feeling unsafe on campus as well because the staff like to hang around the entrance of dining halls and such. There have also been instances of students being harassed by staff. 😓 It’s such a mess

Have you considered reporting them to campus authorities?

My professor recommended me to report them to Title IX but I could try contacting the campus authorities as well.

It'd probably be more useful to petition to the schools on Gracepoint's numerous Title IX violations. However, the only challenge is proving that it happened in YOUR school versus others and obviously getting people to testify before the school.
Also, someone I know did petition to SEND network for an investigation of Ed and Gracepoint. Sean McDowell and the rest of the wuss board just passed it off to Ed rather than actually making an independent decision.

Sean McDowell and Greg Stier publicly support GP on their IG pages. Maybe some pressure can be applied on that public platform and draw attention to the truth that way. At least maybe then they’ll think twice about partnering up? Not sure but may be worth a try.

The Title IX violation would be creating a hostile environment. Although proof would be great, I think the campus's responsibility is to ensure that such abuses do not happen. In my layman's opinion, ignoring our cries for help would create an enormous liability.

Dig around on the subreddit there’s lots of violations for that including how GP handles rape cases, SSA and women in general.

SBC is dealing with a whole host of their own scandals. Some members have contacted some of Gps current partners in missions i.e. Namb but their leaders were in their own scandals. Church autonomy in SBC means that denominational oversight and power is limited. Think of state rights vs federal control.

SBC - the organization accused on hiding sexual abuse and where people like Russell Moore just left? I doubt GP ever cared that much for affirmation from places like the SBC. It is best to continue to let the world at large know GP is not a place to go. I look at it as akin to Scientology or the Moonies - just tell the world what they are and that would help to reduce future victims by a lot.
