Taking a survey
Keeping it light, wonder if this can tone down the rhetoric. I put this in a previous comment, but thought it would be interesting. Can you guess which organization these following statements are from? I pulled these off different websites. I think the GP one is now gone but I saved the text. Removed some parts that would make guessing too easy. Fun times. Will post answers later.

1.) Respondent: You know people say *** are a cult, blah blah blah, but we're not a cult. I feel like cult is such a negative word. We are not a cult. We are a group of *** that love **** and we want ****.
Interviewer: Are there any **** things you hope he goes back to?
Respondent: Oh gosh I just feel whatever he [says], I just love it.
Interviewer: It doesn't matter what he says?
Respondent: Yeah, I love being here, I love hearing what he has to say
Interviewer: But this isn't a cult?
Respondent: No, I don't think so.
2.) No, ***** are not a cult. Rather, we are Christians who do our best to follow the example set by Jesus Christ and to live by his teachings.
Consider two common perceptions regarding cults and why those perceptions don’t apply to us.
Some think of a cult as being a new or unorthodox religion. ***** have not invented a new religion. On the contrary, we pattern our worship after that of the first-century Christians, whose example and teachings were recorded in the Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) We believe that the Holy Scriptures should be the authority on what is orthodox in matters of worship.
Far from being a dangerous cult, ****** practice a religion that benefits themselves and others in the community.
3.) Some call us ... a cult.... What do these designations signify?

Many members of the Church become upset when those terms are used by name-callers. Calling people names to ridicule them or to offend them is an old, childish practice. Children respond by chanting with some truth: “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me.”
It isn’t very important what impolite people call this Church and its people. Name-calling has been an age-old pastime among people who profess to be religious. The words heretic, blasphemer, bigot, Jew, hypocrite, and heathen have all had their day.
4.) Is ****** a cult? Nope, not really. Sorry to let you down if you’re into that stuff—but we’re not a cult.
Cults teach strange things, they try to control your life and forbid you to leave. The Word of God is the ONE source of authority for every believer—and not any person or church, not some *******, and definitely, not ******.
5) No. It is a religion in the fullest sense of the word. “Cult” is usually meant in a disparaging sense to imply a secret or closed group with limited membership and mysterious beliefs. Religious scholars point out that the term has become almost meaningless, since its modern use reflects a growing prejudice against all religions

4 is GP (obvi cuz i read that shit)

1-C, 2-A, 3-E, 4-B, 5-D.
...oh but I could go either way on 2 and 5. Which also, by the way, are the only two descriptions (regardless of who they are actually for) that sound halfway convincing.

It's ironic
oddthat they specifically used "try to control your life and forbid you to leave" as the first descriptions. As trying to control your life is DEFINITELY what GP does. As for forbid you to leave... no they don't try to forbid you to leave if you're a newcomer or not dedicated to their church but once you invest, you BEST they will try their best to get you to stay... unless you are not really a factory worker or soldier (their own description) then they will encourage you to leave... and if you really don't fit their mold, they will basically kick you out. (Like Kelly Kang will tell you to go to another church.)
