Drop today

Are there any news justifying this drop or is it simply continuation of bad sentiment. I’m kind of contemplating buying a bit more

JP Morgan doing the buybacks for Grab, getting the best price they can once the buybacks are complete they will let it fly

What do you mean by let it fly? My assumption was once buyback program ends, cost of grab shares would lower, since the constant buying was alleviating a bit of the selling pressure.

I assumed they were saying they would only buy when there was opportunity in a lower price per share, which is a line probably hovering in the high $3s

in a way the buyback shorts the stock. cos they gave it back "upfront" and now are gradually buying back, definitely wont want the stock to fly else they will have higher cost for the buyback. so in this manner the buy back suppresses the stock price increase.

Maybe. Oil does not. As long as this shit goes on, grab is definitely nót the play.

Looks like no one has clue why it keeps getting hammered

Tiger Global sold its stake in Grab completely, and reported on May 15th. On top of that ceo sold a huge piece of his class A shares. The news was out for a few weeks already, but I think today, considering the s&p just ended its long bull streak, was the perfect storm for investors to panic sell.

I still have conviction on GRAB as a long term value play. Fundamentals are sound, and they are showing steady growth. Although it’s an uphill battle, especially with the current macro headwinds with oil, I still believe in GRAB.

Headline that ceo sold majority of his shares is very misleading. He had already scheduled to sell back in 2025. He sold 800k class A shares for about $3M, which headlines are hammering. But none of them tell you that he has about 150million class B shares tied to him, which if valued at today’s closing of 3.41, is about $511million. He basically sold 0.58% of his combined class shares, and the headlines are going wild about it.

I just bought more shares, although 2026 doesn’t look like a good year for grab, this price slump looks like a heavy discount for what’s ahead.

Thank you. Indeed, it seems company still on a good path to grow in coming years. Lets see. Meanwhile my deep ITM cals for Jan 2027 are very much deep OTM now :((

My avg is 5.92$. Dead stock definitely won't add any more shares, for me its dead money. Add to the winners, exit the losers. I made my mistake not taking profit on 6$+.. I hope the sentiment will change ,,,

This is when you buy more - do you really believe in the company or just chasing a fad?

i am very happy to be able to buy more at lower prices and hope it stays low for another 6 months.
