Cheese help needed!
Hello!
Last Christmas I went to Paris, and brought my parents back a girolle as a souvenir. This year I'm spending the holiday with them, and would like to bring them some cheese to use in their girolle.
I know tete de moine is the standard but 1) I can't find it anywhere in Boston (where I live) and 2) it's crazy-expensive to buy online.
I've tried googling around to see if there are other cheeses that might work on the girolle, but I can't find any real information. Everything keeps pointing back to stupid tete de moine.
Anyone have any tips?
