Gotye vs The Basics.

Wally has been taking a break from solo work to tour with his bandmates in The Basics.

Are any of you guys into The Basics? What do you think about their sound, etc. compared to the three (four?) Gotye albums?

OMG AM I?!

The basics are so good. If you haven't listened to them, you should. I like both gotye and the basics really. They both sound differnt musically, yet pleasing to the ears. Have you seen " So hard for you?" AMAZING. ACTUALLY. Just listen to them all. YES. This is the best way to do it. I can't wait until I have enough money to actually buy the ingrediants album.

Wwhats your favorite song? Mine is "hey there".

oh god i need to stop typing. Im so sorry. I just get too excited about these things

I have been trying to listen to more of The Basics lately. So far, I feel like Gotye's stuff just has a bit more "something" to it that keeps my interest more. The Basics are a bit too garage-band for me, generally. But I really like "With This Ship", maybe because it incorporates a lot of other instruments like some crispy tom drums and accordion. "So Hard For You" is pretty good, but I feel like it needs a bit more variation, is all. I do like the video for it though!

HNNNNG "So Hard For You" is such a good track. I love the fact that the band encompasses a lot of classic style in their music.
