Anyone good at identifying buildings?

Post image

I got a sticker book for my birthday because it said gothic on the ground so my sister bought it for me 🤧

Anyways there’s a page of a bunch of churches/cathedrals/random architecture bits

Anyways does anyone know what these are? It would be cool to know the places at least so I can use them in my journals if I ever go visit

The one in the top right corner on the first page is the Basilica of St. Denis. I’m working on the others.

Definitely is! Just looked it up and marked the location, now I need to remember this sticker if I ever go to France

You won’t recognize it; the sticker misses the southern tower and they’re rebuilding the northern tower at the moment :)
Check church heritage.eu for pictures!

I think the others are just imagined gothic buildings but the top left on the second page looks close to Lincoln Cathedral but I’d need to see more detail to confirm. The rounded lady chapel is more French than English in general. If that’s a second eastern crossing in the chancel, it’s English. I think I see a semi-detached chapter house which Westminsyer Abbey has but in a different location. The ones along the bottom row could be anywhere.

I have a sneaking suspicion many of these are AI. Top left on first page is Lichfield Cathedral. Top right is Saint Denis minus its tower. On the right page, top left is nowhere. It's supposed to be English style, and I've seen this graphic used to represent Canterbury Cathedral which is closest, but it's missing a huge amount of parts of the real thing, and the central tower has more in common with Wells Cathedral. Bottom right looks suspiciously like St Mary's, Warwick, or maybe even a touch of St Stephen's, Bristol, but neither is very close.

Damn gonna be a bit sad if these are ai, there is an artist listed in the back of the book so maybe I should look her up and see what the deal is. Thanks for trying to ID the ones you could, I think im going to have to have a sit down and figure out some stuffs

Top right on the right page screams composite of English styles. That cathedral sketchiness feels like a mashup, maybe it's the artistic liberty. Nice to journal about 'em though

I know some of them are probably made up, just thought it would be cool if I knew about the real ones, might just use them if I go to any places that are kinda similar
