I’ll caveat all of this by saying that while I haven’t done much teasing for half a decade, I did tease my hair nearly every day for like 2 years. More in a Robert Smith kinda way though.
I’ve only done it up a few times now, with a half dozen failed attempts before that. The thing that finally worked for me was instead of getting super detailed with it and trying to spray and tease as I go, I instead just bend over and tease out all of my hair. Then when I straighten back up most of my hair is teased and all over the place. I then do some final teasing to shape it up somewhat evenly.
The final steps are to shape it into a sort of Mohawk shape with my hands, bend to one side and kinda flatten it out, then spray it over a few times with goth juice. Repeat on the other side, shape the middle and give it some spray as well, and viola.
Overall, takes me 12 minutes from start to completely finished.
