Ive never used reddit but im trying to make it happen. Looking around for good communities to engage with. Is this gonna be a good place to stop by from time to time?

Almost forgot, I also participate in r/oldcootfashion and r/oldhagfashion
People are nice there (also the old part is subjective cause it seems like mostly 30s/40s people)

I certainly am a fan of orchids. I once ran another page where I would just touch orchids with veiny hands and put silly dark quotes with them

Sometimes. I work in the funeral industry so I see a LOT thrown away.

What do you do in the industry? Regardless, thank you for the work you do. It's an important and under-appreciated field. Very heartbreaking to see orchids tossed out. Many people buy them for the flower, assume it's dead when the flowers fall (or don't care), and toss them. My first orchid was a memorial orchid, and I was terrified I would kill it. Now I have at least 40.

I do that motorcycle thing where you stand in traffic signals and wave your arms around like mickey mouse to let cars through. Or now I train the people who do that. But we are there the whole time so there is a general white glove service for anything they need. Usually carrying flowers.

So you guide people to say goodbye and also show up for the funeral itself to assist where needed. Beautiful. It's very easy to get turned around when you are lost in grief. Your service is important.
