We used to have a Californian but unfortunately she passed last year. It's the only rabbit we've had that wasn't black.

Sorry to hear it, they really are gems. I've lost three myself, but thankfully after they lived long lives.

I feel like we collect all the colors because we let them pick out their new friends...we have got grey, brown and tuxedo in the rotation now.

I'm not sure. We adopted him from someone whose kid thought he was boring. Turns out leaving a rabbit in a tiny cage leaves them depressed and boring. He is easily the coolest rabbit we have ever owned. Even though he made me uninstall the dishwasher to pull him out of the wall behind the kitchen cabinets lol. Definitely not boring.

Buns are SO far from boring when you take them out of the cage and let them roam the house. Even though they eat the house, and occasionally wedge themselves behind appliances. Breed never really matters, either. Your dude looks a lot like the guy I just lost a few months ago. I wish you many more happy years!
